ACB Finals Most Valuable Player Award
The ACB Finals Most Valuable Player Award is an award for the top-tier professional basketball league in Spain, the Spanish ACB League. The ACB first named a Finals Most Valuable Player after the 1990–91 ACB season. Since then, only three players have won the award more than once: Arvydas Sabonis (2 times), Juan Carlos Navarro (3 times), and Felipe Reyes (2 times). Historically, the MVP of the ACB Finals usually goes to the player on the winning team that has the highest Performance Index Rating stat over the course of the Finals series. Spanish Basketball League System
The Spanish basketball league system is a series of connected competitions for professional basketball clubs in Spain. The system has a hierarchical format with a promotion and relegation system between competitions at different levels. Men There are currently four different nation-wide leagues in the system - the 1st tier Liga ACB, the 2nd tier LEB Oro, the 3rd tier LEB Plata and the 4th tier Liga EBA. Liga ACB is organized by the ''Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto'' (Basketball Clubs Association), which is a private organization. LEB leagues and Liga EBA are organized by the Spanish Basketball Federation while the lower tiers are organized by the regional federations. Bàsquet Manresa, S.A.D., also known as Baxi Manresa for sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball club based in Manresa, Spain. The team plays in the Liga ACB and Basketball Champions League. Joan Creus
Joan "Chichi" Creus Molist (born November 24, 1956) is a Spanish former basketball player who played as point guard. Professional career Creus spent his entire 25-year career in Catalonia. He mainly played in Granollers EB, with a two-year period with FC Barcelona, where he won one National League and two National Cups. In 1993, after the dissolution of Granollers, Creus signed with TDK Manresa. He led the club to win the two only championships in its history: the 1996 Copa del Rey and the Liga ACB in the 1997–98, considered one of the biggest miracles in the history of Spanish basketball. Creus was named MVP of both competitions. In 1999, Creus announced his retirement. He is considered a historic player of the Liga ACB after playing 20,211 minutes in 585 games, scoring 7,929 points, and assisting 1,461 times in the league. Roberto Dueñas
Roberto Dueñas Hernandez (born 1 November 1975) is a retired Spanish professional basketball player. At a height of 7 ft 3 inches tall, he played at the center position. Professional career Dueñas was drafted with the last overall pick (#57), of the 1997 NBA draft, by the Chicago Bulls, but he never played in the NBA. Dueñas played professionally with FC Barcelona from 1996–2005, during which time he won a EuroLeague championship in the 2002–03 season.
