Amager Boldklub Tårnby (; commonly known as AB Tårnby) is an association football club based in the town of Tårnby, Capital Region of Denmark, Denmark, that competes in the Danish 3rd Division, the fourth tier of the Danish football league system. Founded in 2009 as a merger between Tårnby Boldklub and AB 70, it is affiliated to the regional football association, DBU Copenhagen. The team plays its home matches at Tårnby Stadium where it has been based since its foundation. The stadium has a capacity of 10,000. History On 1 January 2009, Tårnby Boldklub merged with neighboring Amager Boldklub af 1970 (AB70), and the new association was named AB Tårnby. Denmark Series
The Denmark Series ( da, Danmarksserien) is the fifth tier in the Danish football league system. Teams are divided into four groups of ten. The top team in each group is promoted to the Danish 3rd Division. The bottom three teams in each group are relegated to the regional Copenhagen Series, Zealand Series, Lolland-Falster Series, Funen Series, or Jutland Series as is appropriate for each club geographically. Clubs in the Denmark Series are participants in the Danish Cup tournament. The reserve teams of top-flight Danish Superliga and second-tier Danish 1st Division clubs are allowed to play in the Denmark Series, but 1st Division reserve teams cannot win promotion, as they must stay at least two leagues below their first team squads. TÃ¥rnby Kommune () is a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') bordering Copenhagen Municipality on the island of Amager just east of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in eastern Denmark. Hassan Bashir ( ur, ; born 7 January 1987) is a Pakistani footballer who plays for Ishøj IF and captains the Pakistan national team. Yousuf Ijaz Butt ( ur, ; born October 18, 1989) is a footballer who plays for Ishøj IF and the Pakistan national football team. 2019–20 Denmark Series
The 2019–20 Denmark Series was the 55th season of the Denmark Series, the fourth-tier of the Danish football league system, Danish football league structure organised by the Danish Football Union, Danish FA (DBU). The league was divided in four pools of ten teams each. Initially, the winner of each pool was to be promoted to the 2020-21 Danish 2nd Division, while the last place team would be relegated to a lower division and bottom two teams of each pool in danger of playing relegation-playoff (depending on Danish 2nd Division results). The 2021–22 Denmark Series was the 57th season of the Denmark Series, the fifth-tier of the Danish football league structure organised by the Danish FA (DBU). The season marked a transitional phase in the structure of the Danish leagues. This season, the league was divided into four groups of ten teams each. Tårnby Boldklub (or Taarnby Boldklub, ) were a Denmark, Danish association football, football club based in Tårnby on Amager, which played their home games at Taarnby Stadium. The club was formed on 21 April 1935 as Arbejdernes Idræts Klub Tårnby (AIK Tårnby) and became member of Dansk Arbejder Idrætsforbund (DAI) on 1 May 1935. After nearly 10 years in DAI, it was decided at a general meeting on 16 January 1944 to change their membership to DBU Copenhagen, Københavns Boldspil-Union (KBU) and in this regard change their name to Tårnby Boldklub. The club became an extraordinary member of KBU on 1 July 1944 and a full member in February 1945 and started their first season 1944–45 under the new football association by playing in a newly created 'C-række' consisting of 8 clubs.
