A19 Autoroute
The A19 autoroute is a motorway in France it connects the A5 with A6 between Sens in Yonne and Courtenay in Loiret. It is long. The extension to the A10 autoroute near Orléans was completed in January 2011. The A19 is part of the outermost Paris ring road. A86 Autoroute
A86 (sometimes called "Paris super-périphérique") is the second ring road around Paris, France. It follows an irregular path around Paris with the distance from the city centre ( Notre Dame) varying in the range. The south-western section of A86 contains one of the world's longest urban motorway tunnels ( of continuous tunnel), opened in two parts in 2009 and 2011. The tunnel is limited to a height of and commercial vehicles are prohibited as a result. Although now a complete motorway-standard loop, the A86 is a product of its heavily urban route and piecemeal construction, meaning that there are several points at which one has to TOTSO (Turn Off To Stay On) and sections which are briefly parts of the A3 and A4 autoroutes. Pithiviers
Pithiviers () is a communes of France, commune in the Loiret Departments of France, department, north central France. It is one of the Subprefectures in France, subprefectures of Loiret. It is twinned with Ashby-de-la-Zouch in Leicestershire, England and Burglengenfeld in Bavaria, Germany. Its attractions include a cinema, a theatre and a Heritage railway, preserved steam railway. During World War II, Pithiviers was the location of the infamous Pithiviers internment camp. The pithivier, a kind of pie, is said to originate here in the middle ages. Beaune-La-Rolande
Beaune-la-Rolande () is a commune in the Loiret department in north-central France. History On 28 November 1870 it was the site of a battle during the Franco-Prussian War, in which French impressionist painter Frédéric Bazille was killed. During World War II, it was the site of the Nazi Beaune-la-Rolande internment camp, a transit and deportation center for Jews closely associated with the Pithiviers internment camp. Eighteen thousand Jews were held at Beaune-la-Rolande; most of them were transported to Auschwitz where they were murdered. Polish artist Zber was imprisoned there from 1941 to 1942, and the composer Ralph Erwin died there. Ferrières-en-Gâtinais (; literally "Ferrières in Gâtinais") is a commune in the Loiret department in north-central France. Ferrières was the site of the Benedictine monastery Ferrières Abbey, which had an extensive library in the Middle Ages. Geography The municipality is located in the Gâtinais region, north of the national forest (''forêt domaniale'') of Montargis, 13 km north of the town of Montargis, 81 km north-east of Orléans and 98 miles south of Paris. Montargis
Montargis () is a communes of France, commune in the Loiret Departments of France, department, Centre-Val de Loire, France. Montargis is the seventh most populous commune in the Loiret, after Orléans and its suburbs. It is near a large forest, and contains light industry and farming, including saffron. Due to its numerous canals and bridges, Montargis sometimes bills itself as the "Venice of the Gâtinais." Though quite modern, it retains a medieval charm in its downtown area. A77 Autoroute
The A77 autoroute is a motorway in central France. The road starts at the hamlet of Rosiers in Seine-et-Marne and finishes to the south of Nevers in Nièvre. It is also known as the ''l'Arbre'' - the motorway of the Tree. It has been designed to minimise its effect on the environment. Each of the rest areas bears the name of a species. The road has been integrated into the landscape helped by zoologists to allow the passage of the animals (wild or cattle) from one side of the road to the other, as in the forest of Montargis.
