Azerbaijan participated at the 2015 European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan from 12 to 28 June 2015. As host nation, Azerbaijan automatically receives a number in quota places in each sport, regardless of how they fare in the qualification. Taekwondo At The 2015 European Games
Taekwondo competitions at the 2015 European Games in Baku were held between 16 and 19 June 2015 at the Crystal Hall complex in Baku. The competition consisted of four weight events in each gender; a total of 8 medal events. Qualification Qualification will be based on the World Taekwondo Federation world ranking list on 31 March 2015, with 112 places being awarded through that system, 14 in each event. In addition, 8 'Universality' places, 1 per event, will be allocated in the individual competition to ensure a spread of nations can compete, and hosts Azerbaijan will also be entitled to one fighter per event. The 2015 European Judo Championships were organised by the European Judo Union. Initially it was planned that championships will be held in Glasgow, Scotland, from 9 to 12 April 2015. On 21 February 2015, it was announced that competition would be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, during the 2015 European Games. The individual contests took place on 25–27 June 2015. The Organizing Committee announced on 4 April 2014 that visually impaired judo will be included as a medal event. This will make the European Games the first continental games to "fully integrate" a Para-sport discipline into its sports programme. Boxing competitions at the 2015 European Games were held from 16 to 27 June 2015 at the Crystal Hall 3 venue in the main Games cluster in Baku. The competition consisted of ten weight events for men, and five for women, and was contested, as at the Olympic Games, under rules and formats set out by the AIBA. Baku served as the first of two European qualification events for the AIBA World Boxing Championships, itself the largest qualification event for the 2016 Summer Olympics. The finalists, and the bronze medalist defeated by the eventual champion achieve one quota place for their country at the World Championships. Qualification Nations are limited to one entry per weight division. Gymnastics competitions at the 2015 European Games were held in the National Gymnastics Arena, Baku between 15–21 June 2015. In all, five different gymnastics disciplines were contested. In addition to the existing Olympic programme, additional events were held in both the rhythmic gymnastics and trampolining disciplines. In addition, events in two non-Olympic disciplines, aerobic gymnastics and acrobatic gymnastics were included. Qualification A total of 425 athletes qualified for the gymnastics competitions.
