"Ayrılık Zor" ("Separation is Hard") is a single released by the Turkish pop singer Tarkan in 2005 and sold close to half a million copies.It sold 460.000 copies in 2005Michael Show It was released as part of Turkish phone company Avea's new cell phone deal. The single was not available in stores, but was purchased by subscribing to Avea. The concept involved lovers separated by distance using the phone as a means of contact. Tarkan (singer)
Tarkan Tevetoğlu (; born 17 October 1972) is a Turkish singer-songwriter. Since the early 1990s, with the successful sales of his albums, he has been a prominent figure of pop music, recognized in Turkey and worldwide. Tarkan was born and raised in Alzey, Rhineland-Palatinate. In 1986, he moved to Turkey together with his family. Tarkan, who had been interested in music since his childhood, went to high school at Karamürsel and took music lessons. In the following years, he met the owner of İstanbul Plak, Mehmet Söğütoğlu, and signed a contract to release his own album. Tarkan released his first album '' Yine Sensiz'' in late 1992 with "Kıl Oldum" being chosen as its lead single. His second and third albums, ''Aacayipsin'' and ''Ölürüm Sana'', were released in 1994 and 1998 respectively. The song "Şımarık" from ''Ölürüm Sana'' became popular in a number of countries. Ozan Çolakoğlu (, born 1 April 1972) is a Turkish composer, songwriter and music producer; famous for his work with various Turkish pop singers and his multiple film scores. He co-founded the production company ''Sarı Ev'' (Yellow House), but left it in 2010 to work for ''dB Müzik''. Life and career Ozan Çolakoğlu was born in Adana, Turkey in 1972. He attended the Berklee College of Music and his career started with Tarkan's first album called ''Yine Sensiz''. Besides working continuously with the Turkish pop idol, he also contributed to the albums of such notable artists like Nil Karaibrahimgil, Murat Boz or the well known all-female Turkish rock band, Pin-up.
