Cheam June Wei
Cheam June Wei (born 23 January 1997) is a Malaysian badminton player. He was the mixed doubles gold medalist at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics. Career Cheam started playing badminton at aged 8 in Penang. As a junior player, he has been trained by Teh Peng Huat, the former coach of world No. 1 Lee Chong Wei, for more than year before training under task Lim Theam Teow. In 2012, he won the mixed team bronze medal at the Asia Junior Championships in Gimcheon, South Korea. In 2014, he was promoted to join the national team from the Bukit Jalil Sports School, and at the same year he competed at the Nanjing Summer Youth Olympics and clinched the mixed doubles title with his partner from Hong Kong, Ng Tsz Yau. The mixed doubles badminton event at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics were held at Nanjing Sport Institute Nanjing Sport Institute () is a public university located in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China, specializing in sports and physical education. It was founded in 1956. Alumni who have won Olympic golds * Luan Jujie, Lin Li, Ge Fei, Gu Jun, Zhang Jun, Hu .... It was the first time the event was part of the Youth Olympic Games sports program and it was part of the mixed NOC events. The 64 qualified athletes from the boys and girls events was divided to mixed team. The 32 teams were split into eight groups, with four teams each. In their groups, they play a one-way round-robin and the first team of each group qualifies to the quarterfinals, where they play a knock-out stage until the medal matches. He Bingjiao (; Mandarin pronunciation: ; born 21 March 1997) is a Chinese badminton player. She began to receive intensive badminton training at the Suzhou Junior Sports School, when she was 7 years old. Five years later, she was sent to study in Nanjing and for tougher training there. The junior already competed in the senior level, and made her senior international debut at the 2013 Vietnam Open.
