Australian Cricket Team In New Zealand In 2023–24
The Australia cricket team toured New Zealand in February and March 2024 to play three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches and two Test matches. The teams contested the Trans-Tasman Trophy, with the Test series formed part of the 2023–2025 ICC World Test Championship. The teams contested the Chappell–Hadlee Trophy, with the T20I series formed part of both teams' preparation for the T20 World Cup in June that year which will be held in the USA and West Indies. It was the first time the T20I series was a part of Chappell–Hadlee Trophy. Australia won the first two T20Is, and retained the Chappell–Hadlee Trophy. Squads Tim Southee was only selected for the first T20I, while Trent Boult was selected for the last two T20Is in New Zealand's squad. Tim Southee
Timothy Grant Southee (born 11 December 1988), is a New Zealand international cricketer who plays for New Zealand cricket team in all formats of the game, captains in Tests and vice captains in T20Is. He is a right-arm fast-medium bowler and a hard-hitting lower order batsman. The third New Zealand bowler to take 300 Test wickets, he was one of the country's youngest cricketers, debuting at the age of 19 in February 2008. On his Test debut against England he took 5 wickets and made 77 off 40 balls in the second innings. He plays for Northern Districts in the Plunket Shield, Ford Trophy and Super Smash as well as Northland in the Hawke Cup. 2023–2025 ICC World Test Championship
The 2023–2025 ICC World Test Championship is an ongoing tournament of Test Cricket which is the third edition of the ICC World Test Championship. It started in June 2023 with The Ashes, which was contested between England and Australia, and it is scheduled to finish in June 2025 with the final match planned to be played at Lord's. Format The tournament is being played over two years, with 68 matches over 27 series scheduled for the league stage. The top two teams in the points table will then qualify for the final which will be played at Lord's, London. Each team is planned to play six series, with three at home and three away. Each series will consist of two to five Test matches. Each participant will play between 12 and 22 matches. Each match is scheduled for a duration of five days. Ben Sears
Ben Sears (born 11 February 1998) is a New Zealand cricketer. He made his international debut for the New Zealand cricket team in September 2021. Career Sears father, Michael Sears was also a cricketer who played for Wellington in the 1990s. Sears made his List A debut for Wellington in the 2018–19 Ford Trophy on 24 October 2018. Devon Philip Conway (born 8 July 1991) is a South African born New Zealand cricketer who plays for the New Zealand cricket team.
