The Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) is Australia's largest and most representative business association, comprising state and territory chambers of commerce and national industry associations. ACCI represents Australian businesses of all shapes and sizes, across all sectors of the economy, and from every corner of the country. ACCI contributes to public discussion and government decision-making on issues that impact on business, including economics, trade, workplace relations, work health and safety and employment, education and training. The Chamber also speaks on behalf of Australian business in international forums. The current chief executive of ACCI is Andrew McKellar and the president is Nola Watson. Peter Hendy (politician)
Peter William Hendy (born 10 January 1962) is a former Australian politician. He was the Liberal member representing the Australian House of Representatives seat of Eden-Monaro in New South Wales from 2013 to 2016. Hendy served as Assistant Minister for Productivity in the First Turnbull Ministry between September 2015 and February 2016; and as Assistant Cabinet Secretary and Assistant Minister to the Minister for Finance from February 2016. Hendy lost his seat in the 2016 federal election to Labor candidate Mike Kelly. Anne Katherine Carnell (née Knowlman; born 30 May 1955) is an Australian businesswoman and former Liberal Party politician, who served as the third Chief Minister of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) from 1995 to 2000. Early life and pharmacy career Carnell was born on 30 May 1955, in Brisbane, Queensland. Her parents owned a small accounting business. As a teenager she struggled with anorexia and was sent away to recover at Sydney Hospital. She battled the illness for four years.
