Australia competed at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China, from 4 to 20 February 2022. The Australian team consisted of 43 athletes (21 men and 22 women), competing in 10 sports. This marked a decrease of seven athletes from 2018. Alpine skier Madison Hoffman was selected but withdrew due to an ACL injury. Brendan Kerry and Laura Peel were the country's flagbearers during the opening ceremony. Freestyle skier Sami Kennedy-Sim was the closing ceremony flagbearer. The use of Simplified Chinese stroke count placed it antepenultimate in the Parade of Nations before the host nation of the next Winter Olympics (Italy) and the host nation (China) as it takes sixteen (16) strokes to write the first character () of its Chinese name, more than any other participating country. The Curling at the Winter Olympics, curling competitions of the 2022 Winter Olympics were held at the Beijing National Aquatics Centre, one of the Olympic Green venues. Bobsleigh at the 2022 Winter Olympics has been held at the Xiaohaituo Bobsleigh and Luge Track which is one of the Yanqing cluster venues. A total of four bobsleigh events were held, between 4 and 20 February 2022. In July 2018, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) officially added the women's monobob event to the program, increasing the total number of events to four. The IOC also transferred six quotas from the men's events to the women's. The quota limit of 170 athletes remained the same from the 2018 Winter Olympics. The women's slopestyle competition in snowboarding at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held on 5 February (qualification) and 6 February (final), at the Genting Snow Park in Zhangjiakou. Summary Jamie Anderson won both previous slopestyle events at the Olympics, in 2014 and 2018, and qualified for the 2022 Olympics to defend her title. The women's competition in skeleton at the 2022 Winter Olympics will be held on 11 February (runs 1 and 2) and 12 February (runs 3 and 4), at the Xiaohaituo Bobsleigh and Luge Track in Yanqing District of Beijing. Hannah Neise of Germany became the Olympic champion. Jaclyn Narracott of Australia won silver, and Kimberley Bos of the Netherlands bronze.
