Australian Commonwealth Games Association
Commonwealth Games Australia (CGA) is the Commonwealth Games Association for Australia, and is responsible for representing and promoting the Commonwealth Sport movement in the country, and organises the participation of athletes at the Commonwealth Games and Commonwealth Youth Games. It changed it name from the Australian Commonwealth Games Association to Commonwealth Games Australia in 2015. The Commonwealth Games have been held in Australia five times, most recently the 2018 Commonwealth Games were held on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Kathryn ("Kathy") Ann Watt (born 11 September 1964) is an Australian racing cyclist who won two medals at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain (gold in the road race, and silver in the pursuit). She has won 24 national championships in road racing, track racing, and mountain bike, four Commonwealth Games gold medals, and came third in the world time trial championship. Damian McDonald
Damian McDonald (12 May 1972 – 23 March 2007) was an Australian road bicycle racer, who was born in Wangaratta. He was an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder. McDonald died on 23 March 2007. He was one of three men killed in a collision and explosion in the Burnley Tunnel in Melbourne, Victoria. Career In 1990, McDonald won the Australian national road race title, beating Eddy Salas, who is also a successful road bicycle racer. In 1992 he was a reserve for four-man pursuit team at the Barcelona Olympics, barely missing out on a medal when the team won silver, losing to Germany. Hendricus "Henk" Vogels (born 31 July 1973, in Perth) is an Australian former professional road bicycle racer who retired from competition at the end of the 2008 season, riding with the Toyota-United Pro Cycling Team. He won the Australian national road race title in 1999. He was an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder. He was subsequently directeur sportif of the Fly V-Successful Living team. Vogels also provides expert opinion for SBS Cycling Central. Vogels served as sports director of the team in 2014, however he left the team at the end of the season in order to take a break from the sport in 2015 and spend more time with his family. Stuart O'Grady (born 6 August 1973) is a retired Australian professional road bicycle racer, who rode as a professional between 1995 and 2013. A former track cyclist, O'Grady and Graeme Brown won a gold medal in the Men's Madison at the 2004 Summer Olympics. O'Grady also won Paris–Roubaix in 2007. Bradley John McGee OAM (born 24 February 1976 in Sydney, New South Wales) is an Australian former professional racing cyclist. He is currently the head coach of the New South Wales Institute of Sport (NSWIS). He started cycling in 1986 at the age of ten. He lives in Sydney and in Nice, France.
