2007 Men's Junior World Handball Championship
The 2007 Men's Junior World Handball Championship was the 16th edition of the tournament and was held at Skopje and Ohrid, Republic of Macedonia, Macedonia from August 13–26, 2007. Handball In Australia
Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. The goals are surrounded by a zone where only the defending goalkeeper is allowed; goals must be scored by throwing the ball from outside the zone or while "diving" into it. The sport is usually played indoors, but outdoor variants exist in the forms of field handball, Czech handball (which were more common in the past) and beach handball. The 2017 IHF Men's Junior World Championship was the 21st edition of the tournament, held in Algiers, Algeria from 18 to 30 July 2017. The 2013 IHF Men's Junior World Championship was the 19th edition of the tournament and was held in Bosnia and Herzegovina from 14 – 28 July 2013. The Oceania Continent Handball Federation withdrew from the tournament. Host cities Bosnia and Herzegovina was awarded hosting rights in May 2011, at the IHF XXXIII Ordinary Congress in Marrakech, Morocco. The 2011 Men's Junior World Handball Championship was the 18th edition of the tournament and was held at Thessaloniki, Greece from July 17–31, 2011. Oceania withdrew their participation at this year's tournament, Norway replaced the Oceanian team. Uruguay withdrew from this year's edition, Venezuela replaced them as the first substitute of the Pan-American continent. In a rematch of the 2009 final Germany defeated Denmark 27–18 in the final.
