Australia's Next Top Model (season 1)
Cycle one of ''Australia's Next Top Model'' began airing on 11 January 2005 on Fox8. The ten contestants from around the country chosen for the competition converged in Sydney, where they spent eight weeks sharing an inner city apartment while competing for the title of ''Australia's Next Top Model''. The series finale was held in Melbourne. The prizes for winning the first cycle of ''Australia's Next Top Model'' included a modelling contract with Chic Model Management, an all-expenses paid trip to Milan to meet with Italian modeling agency Fashion, an eight-page editorial in ''Cleo'' magazine, and a national campaign for Napoleon cosmetics. The winner of the competition was 22-year-old Gemma Sanderson from Newcastle. Elisabeth Findlay is a New Zealand fashion designer. She co-founded the fashion house Zambesi with her husband, Neville Findlay, in 1979. Career Findlay was born in Athens, Greece. In 1951 the Red Cross relocated her family to Dunedin, New Zealand. Her mother taught her and her sisters how to sew, she never received any formal training in fashion design. Geoffrey Andrew Huegill (born 4 March 1979) is an Australian swimmer and dual Olympian who won seventy-two international medals, including two medals in Olympics and six world champion titles, throughout his career. He held eight world records, including 50 metres butterfly. Huegill has been recognised as technically the best butterflier and was the dominant butterfly champion during the early 2000s.
