Auray Station
Auray (French: ''Gare d'Auray'') is a railway station in Auray, Brittany, France. The station was opened on 21 September 1862 is located at kilometric point (KP) 584.946 on the Savenay–Landerneau railway. The station is also the starting point for the Auray–Quiberon railway and Auray–Pontivy railway. The station was built by the operator of the Paris - Orleans railway line. Today, the station is served by TGV (high speed), Intercités (long distance) and TER (local) services operated by the SNCF. The line to Pontivy was opened in December 1864, and the line to Quiberon was opened in July 1882. The Auray - Pontivy railway line closed to passenger traffic in October 1949, and is now only used to transport freight. The station is 2 km north-west of the centre of Auray. Auray
Auray (; br, An Alre, or simply ) is a commune in the Morbihan department, administrative region of Brittany, northwestern France. Inhabitants of Auray are called ''Alréens'' (French) and ''Alreiz'' (Breton). Geography The city is surrounded by the communes of Crac'h to the south and the west, Brech to the north and Pluneret to the east. It is crossed by the Loch, a small coastal river, which flows into the Gulf of Morbihan. The town is high on the west bank of the river Auray on the edge of the Armorican plateau which is cut deeply by the river. The port of Saint-Goustan is also in the valley, east of the river. Rennes Station
Rennes station ( French: ''Gare de Rennes'') is situated in the town centre of Rennes, France. It is situated on the Paris–Brest, Rennes–Saint-Malo and the Rennes–Redon railways. The station at Rennes was opened in 1857, and was situated a significant walking distance from the city centre. However, since that date the town has expanded and now the station lies in the central part of the city. It is a through station aligned east–west, with entrances and station facilities on both north and south sides.
