Attorney General Of Mexico
The Attorney General of the Republic is the head of the Attorney General's Office (''Fiscalía General de la República, FGR''; prior to 2019, ''Procuraduría General de la República, PGR'') and the Federal Public Ministry of the Mexico, United Mexican States, an institution belonging to the Federal government of Mexico, Federal Government's constitutional autonomous organism that is responsible for the investigation and prosecution of federal crimes. Raúl Cervantes Andrade (born 3 June 1963) is a Mexicans, Mexican lawyer, academic, businessman and politician. He was CEO of CEA Abogados S.C., Vice-president of the National Chamber of Passage and Tourism Transportation and has been a Federal Deputy twice for Institutional Revolutionary Party, PRI. Emilio Cándido Portes Gil (; 3 October 1890 – 10 December 1978) was President of Mexico from 1928 to 1930, one of three to serve out the six-year term of President-elect General Álvaro Obregón, who had been assassinated in 1928. Law enforcement in Mexico is divided between federal, state, and municipal (local) entities. There are two federal police forces, 31 state police forces and two for Mexico City, and, an investigation of the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Safety System, indicates that there are 1,807 municipal police forces. There are 366 officers per 100,000 people, which equals approximately 500,000 in total, but systemic corruption is endemic and police forces are often poorly trained and underpaid. The average wage of a police officer is $350 per month, around that of a builder's labourer, which means that many police officers supplement their salaries with bribes. Jorge Carpizo McGregor (2 April 1944 – 30 March 2012) was a Mexican jurist who occupied various high rank positions in the government of Mexico. Carpizo was the son of Óscar Carpizo Berrón and Luz María McGregor Dondé. He received a bachelor's degree in law from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), a master's degree in law from the London School of Economics and a doctorate in law from the UNAM.
