Atlético de Madrid Superleague Formula team was a motor racing team representing Spain's Atlético Madrid in the Superleague Formula championship. They finished 18th and last in the inaugural championship with driver Andy Soucek, having missed the first round of the season at Donington Park. They participated in the 2009 season with the Dutch-Chinese driver Ho-Pin Tung for the first 3 races. María de Villota replaced him for the last races of the season. Record (key) 2008 2009 *Super Final results in 2009 did not count for points towards the main championship. 2010 * María de Villota finished 12th in race one and retired in 17th from race two at Jarama. She was subsequently disqualified from race two, after the race had finished, for crashing into Sébastien Bourdais early on after spinning off the track herself. 2008 Estoril Superleague Formula Round
The 2008 Estoril Superleague Formula round was the fourth round of the inaugural Superleague Formula championship, with the races taking place on October 19, 2008. Eighteen football teams were represented on the grid, the same number of teams as there was at the previous two rounds. There were four driver changes for this round of the championship: Franck Perera joined A.S. Roma replacing Enrico Toccacelo, with Toccacelo moving to the Borussia Dortmund car, replacing Paul Meijer as original driver Nelson Philippe was on GP2 Asia Series duty in Shanghai. Meijer also stayed in the series, moving to the Al Ain car, as both of their previous drivers Andreas Zuber (also in Shanghai) and Bertrand Baguette (in Barcelona for the final World Series by Renault round of the season) were unavailable. The 2010 Magny-Cours Superleague Formula round was a Superleague Formula round held on May 23, 2010, at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours, Magny-Cours, France. It was the second round at the Magny-Cours circuit after it hosted its first Superleague Formula event in 2009. It was the third round of the 2010 Superleague Formula season. Seventeen clubs entered the round including two French clubs, Olympique Lyonnais and GD Bordeaux. PSV Eindhoven missed the round due to driver Narain Karthikeyan's involvement in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on the same weekend. Support events included the British GT Championship. 2010 Assen Superleague Formula Round
The 2010 Assen Superleague Formula round was a Superleague Formula round held on May 16, 2010, at the TT Circuit Assen, Assen, Netherlands. It was the first ever round at the Assen circuit and also the first ever one in the Netherlands. It was the second round of the 2010 Superleague Formula season. Eighteen clubs took part, the seventeen who competed at the previous Silverstone round plus returning 2008 series champions Beijing Guoan. Dutch club PSV Eindhoven took part and it was initially thought that an FC Groningen car, to be driven by ex-F1 racer Jos Verstappen, would participate but the plan was abandoned 5 weeks before the event. Alan Docking Racing (ADR) is a motor racing team based in Silverstone, United Kingdom. The team was formed in 1975 by Australian Alan Docking. The team competed in the British Formula 3 series throughout most of its existence; however, it has also graduated to A1 Grand Prix and Superleague Formula and has also competed in sports and saloon cars at a national and international level. The 2009 Jarama Superleague Formula round was the sixth round and last of the 2009 Superleague Formula season, with the races taking place on November 8, 2009. Report Qualifying For the final round of the year, 4 time Champ Car World Series champion and Formula One pointscorer Sébastien Bourdais clinched his first pole position in the Superleague Formula series. Race 1 At the start of the race FC Midtjylland (Kasper Andersen) and Rangers F.C. ( John Martin) both ran off into the gravel trap at turn 1. The 2009 Estoril Superleague Formula round was the fourth round of the 2009 Superleague Formula season, with the races taking place on September 6, 2009. Report Qualifying SC Corinthians (Antônio Pizzonia) took his 3rd Superleague Formula pole of the season. Race 1 Polesitter SC Corinthians (Antônio Pizzonia) went too slowly at the start and got passed by Olympiacos CFP (Esteban Guerrieri). When the pitstops came around Liverpool F.C. (Adrián Vallés) passed the Olympiacos CFP car in the pitstops. During SC Corinthians pitstop the car left with the rear jack still attached to the car. The 2009 Donington Park Superleague Formula round was the third round of the 2009 Superleague Formula season, with the races taking place on 2 August 2009. Support race events included the Historic Formula One Championship, British Superkart and Formula Jedi. Report Qualifying Antônio Pizzonia took a fortunate second pole of the season, as qualifying was canned after the group stages due to heavy rain at Donington. As his lap time with much faster than the time of Davide Rigon, the quickest driver of Group B, he was given the benefit of pole position. The 2009 Zolder Superleague Formula round was the second round of the 2009 Superleague Formula season, with the races taking place on 6 January 2009. The main support series for the event was the EuroBOSS series. The 2009 Magny-Cours Superleague Formula round was the opening round of the 2009 Superleague Formula season, with the races taking place on 28 June 2009. Liverpool F.C. and A.C. Milan shared the two race wins, with Liverpool also being the Weekend Winner after winning the six-car Super Final. The supporting events were the Euroseries 3000 and the Mitjet Series.
