Atlético Clube de Portugal is a Portuguese club, located in the city of Lisbon, more precisely in the parish of Alcântara. It was founded on 18 September 1942 due to the merger of two clubs of Alcântara (Carcavelinhos Football Club) and Santo Amaro (União Foot-Ball Lisboa). Besides Football, the club also has sections of Futsal and Basketball. In the past the club had sections of Field Hockey, Swimming, Sport Fishing, Cycle-Touring, Table Tennis, Rugby, Volleyball, Gymnastics, Triathlon and Handball. Estádio Da Tapadinha
Estádio da Tapadinha is a football stadium located in Lisbon, Portugal. With a seating capacity up to 4,000 people, it is the home ground of both Atlético Clube de Portugal and Benfica women's football team. Construction Prior to 1925 Benfica lent its pitch to Carcavelinhos. That year, the Benfica Board decided to end the lease at the end of the season, forcing Carcavelinhos to find another pitch. The Board of Carcavelinhos decided to construct its own pitch and locate it next to the Alvito quarry, in Alcântara. António Faustino conceived the Campo da Tapadinha, with help from Sousa Lino and Rodrigues Graça. The construction was managed by the members and athletes of Carcavelinhos, and the field was inaugurated on June 26, 1926. Germano Luís de Figueiredo (23 December 1932 – 14 July 2004), simply known as Germano (), was a Portuguese footballer who played as a central defender. He played most of his professional career with Benfica, appearing in 131 official matches and winning eight major titles, including two European Cups.
