Athletics At The 2015 Pan American Games – Women's 800 Metres
The women's 800 metres sprint competition of the athletics events at the 2015 Pan American Games will take place between the 21 and 22 of July at the CIBC Pan Am and Parapan Am Athletics Stadium. The defending Pan American Games champion is Adriana Muñoz of Cuba. Records Prior to this competition, the existing world and Pan American Games records were as follows: Qualification Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) was able to enter up to two entrants providing they had met the minimum standard (2.06.00) in the qualifying period (January 1, 2014 to June 28, 2015). York Lions Stadium is an outdoor sports stadium on the Keele Campus of Toronto's York University in the former city of North York. Ana Fidelia Quirot Moré (; born March 23, 1963) is a former track and field athlete from Cuba, who specialised in the 800 metres but was also successful over 400 m. At 800 metres, she is a two-time World Champion (1995, 1997) and a two-time Olympic medallist (1992, 1996). Her best time of 1:54.44 from 1989 still ranks her fifth on the world all-time list. She is regarded as one of the best female 800m runners of all time, and probably the best to not have an Olympic gold medal in the event. Career Quirot was born in Palma Soriano, Cuba. Phoebe Wright maybe born Phoebe Holmes (c. 1710s – November 1778) was a British embroiderer and designer. She founded and operated the "Royal School of embroidering females". Life Her early life is unknown. It is known that she married and that her name became Wright and that they separated. The main evidence of her family is a will that she wrote, probably before 1752.
