Toni Piispanen (born 24 July 1976) is a Finnish Paralympic athlete. Career He started as an able-bodied karate competitor and became disabled due to an accident that injured his spinal cord at a karate show in 1993. This accident occurred in Lahti in front of hundreds of spectators. After that he played Wheelchair rugby for fifteen years before switching to wheelchair racing in 2008. Alvise De Vidi
Alvise De Vidi (born 30 April 1966, in San Biagio di Callalta) is a former paralympic athlete from Italy competing mainly in category T51 wheelchair racing events. Biography Alvise has competed in 6 Paralympics across two sports winning 15 medals seven of them gold. His first games were in 1988 Summer Paralympics where he competed in the 25m Butterfly class 1A winning the gold medal, despite winning a gold medal this would prove to be the only time he competed outside of athletics. In the same games he also competed in seven track events ranging from 100m to 1500m including both the relays and it was in the 4 × 100 m that he won a bronze medal. In the 1992 Summer Paralympics he competed in the 100m, 400m, 800m and 1500m winning the bronze in the 800m. At the 1996 Summer Paralympics proved to be a much more successful year when he won the 400m and 800m gold medals, silver in the 1500m and competed in the marathon. Mohamed Berrahal
Mohamed Berrahal (born 24 May 1979) is an Algerian athlete who competes in disability athletics in the T/F51 category. Berrahal broke the world record in the F51 category to become the Paralympic Champion in London. At the 2013 World Championships he broke his own world record as he won a combined F51–53 event in the discus. Stephen Osborne (born 26 March 1963) is a Paralympian athlete from England competing in category T51 sprinting events. Osborne qualified for the 2012 Summer Paralympics in the 100m sprint. Pieter Du Preez
Nicolas Pieter du Preez (born 1979 or 1980) is a South African athlete in paratriathlon. In 2013, he was the first person with tetraplegia to ever complete an Ironman Triathlon. Du Preez started competing at the Berlin Marathon in 2008 and was a seven-time winner from 2012 to 2018. In international events, du Preez competed at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in the 100m event and won gold at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in the time trial as a H1 competitor. At the UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships, he has won five golds as part of his thirteen accumulated medals from 2014 to 2022.
