Centennial Olympic Stadium was the 85,000-seat main stadium of the 1996 Summer Olympics and Paralympics in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Construction of the stadium began in 1993, and it was complete and ready for the opening ceremony in July 1996, where it hosted track and field events and the closing ceremony. After the Olympics and Paralympics, it was reconstructed into the baseball-specific Turner Field, used by the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball for 20 seasons (1997–2016). Amy Rudolph
Amy Lynn Rudolph (born September 18, 1973) is a retired United States, American middle-distance running, middle- and long-distance runner who competed mostly in the 5000 meters. She represented her country at two consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1996, as well as four World Championships. She was born in Kane, Pennsylvania and attended Kane Area High School. Gabriela Szabo
Gabriela Szabo (, hu, Szabó Gabriella; born 14 November 1975) is a retired Romanian runner. She competed in the 1500 m and 5000 m events at the 1996 and 2000 Olympics and won a gold, a silver and a bronze medal. Szabo is a three-time world champion. Throughout her entire career she was coached by Zsolt Gyöngyössy, whom she eventually married. In May 2005 she retired from competitions due to exhaustion. Roseli Aparecida Machado (27 December 1968 – 8 April 2021) was a Brazilian long-distance runner. Wei Li (; born 29 June 1972) is a Chinese former long-distance runner. She was a medallist at the 1994 IAAF World Cup and the 1997 East Asian Games. Claudia Margareta Lokar, née Borgschulze (born 9 February 1964) is a retired (West) German long-distance runner.
