Carrara Stadium
Carrara Stadium (known commercially as Metricon Stadium) is a stadium on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, located in the suburb of Carrara. The stadium is primarily used for Australian rules football, serving as the home ground of the Gold Coast Suns, who compete in the Australian Football League. In addition, the venue is used occasionally for cricket, including Big Bash League matches. Carrara Stadium received substantial redevelopment work prior to the entry of the Brisbane Bears to the VFL/AFL in 1987, but following the Bears relocation to the Gabba in 1993, it was used for other sports including rugby league, rugby union and even baseball. The stadium has hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2018 Commonwealth Games as well as the athletics competitions. Stephanie April "Steph" Twell (born 17 August 1989) is a British middle- and long-distance runner who competed at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and trains at Aldershot, Farnham & District AC. She won the 1500 metres at the 2008 World Junior Championships, and is a three-time winner of the European Junior Cross Country Championships (2006–2008), as well as being part of four winning Great Britain teams. Camille Buscomb (born 11 July 1990) is a New Zealand long distance runner. School and US college Buscomb attended St Peter's School in Cambridge, New Zealand. She competed over 1500m in the World Youth Championships in 2007 and the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games. From 2009 she spent two and a half years on an athletics scholarship at Purdue University in Indiana, USA. Biography Heiner was born in Shellharbour, New South Wales on 15 May 1987. She took up running seriously in 2002; as a 17-year-old, she represented Australia in the 1500 metres at the 2004 World Junior Championships in Grosseto, but was eliminated in the heats. Eloise Wellings (née Poppett) (born 9 November 1982 in White Plains, New York, United States) is an Australian long-distance runner. She represented her country at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, the 2010 edition in New Delhi and the 2014 edition in Glasgow, and the 2012 Summer Olympics. In 2016, she made the finals of both the 5,000m and 10,000m races at 2016 Summer Olympics. She was the gold medalist over 5000 metres at the 2003 Summer Universiade.
