Evan Karakolis (born 30 March 1994) is a Canadian javelin thrower who currently holds the school record at Rice University (79.30m). As well as being team captain of the 2015-2016 Rice Track and Field Team, Karakolis received the Bob Quin Award for both athletic and academic excellence. Sean Furey (born August 31, 1982) is an American Olympic javelin thrower with a personal best of 83.08 meters (272 feet, 7 inches). Braian Ezequiel Toledo (8 September 1993 – 26 February 2020) was an Argentine javelin thrower who improved the World Youth Best in boys' javelin throw by more than six metres.
