100 Metres
The 100 metres, or 100-meter dash, is a sprint race in track and field competitions. The shortest common outdoor running distance, the dash is one of the most popular and prestigious events in the sport of athletics. It has been contested at the Summer Olympics since 1896 for men and since 1928 for women. The inaugural World Championships were in 1983. The reigning 100 m Olympic or world champion is often named "the fastest man or woman in the world". Fred Kerley and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce are the reigning world champions; Marcell Jacobs and Elaine Thompson-Herah are the men's and women's Olympic champions. Yang Yang (Chinese: 杨洋; born 26 June 1991 in Shangrao, Jiangxi province) is a Chinese athlete specialising in the sprinting events. Sibusiso Matsenjwa
Sibusiso Bruno Matsenjwa (born 2 May 1988) is a sprinter from Eswatini. He competed in the 200 metres at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, but failed to reach the finals. He broke the national record on both occasions and served as the flag bearer for Eswatini during the opening ceremony in 2016. Matsenjwa holds national records over 100–400 m distances. Sam Effah (born December 29, 1988) is a Canadian sprinter. In July 2010, Effah became, what was then, the fourth fastest Canadian ever after running a 10.06 in the 100 metre.
