David Weir (paralympic Athlete)
David Russell Weir (born 5 June 1979) is a British Paralympic wheelchair athlete. He has won a total of six gold medals at the 2008 and 2012 Paralympic Games, and has won the London Marathon on eight occasions. He was born with a spinal cord transection that left him unable to use his legs. Personal life Weir was born in Wallington, part of the London Borough of Sutton. He cannot use his legs due to a congenital spinal cord transection. As a child he was a talented wheelchair athlete, representing Sutton in wheelchair athletics at the London Youth Games, and won the junior event at the London marathon (the mini wheelchair race) seven times. At school Weir was frustrated by a lack of sporting activities for wheelchair users, but after years of persistence he developed a skill for wheelchair racing that would define his career and lead to multiple Paralympic successes. Zhang Lixin () is a Paralympian Track and field, athlete from China competing mainly in category T54 sprint events. He competed in the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing, China. There he won a gold medal in the men's 200 metres - T54 event, a gold medal in the men's 400 metres - T54 event, a gold medal in the men's 4 x 100 metre relay - T53-54 event and a gold medal in the men's 4 x 400 metre relay - T53-54 event. Aron Anderson
Aron Karl Riggert Anderson (born 26 January 1988) is a Swedish adventurer, motivational speaker and a paralympian-athlete. Anderson was the first wheelchair user to summit Sweden's highest mountain, Kebnekaise, and Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Biography In January 1996, Anderson and his parents were told by doctors he had cancer in his lower back. He was treated with chemotherapy and radiation throughout 1996 and early 1997. The treatments did not work, and in late 1997 the cancer was removed surgically, at which time Anderson lost function in both legs. He competes as a celebrity dancer in Let's Dance 2022, which is broadcast by TV4. He is also the first dancer to use a wheelchair on the show.
