Centennial Olympic Stadium
Centennial Olympic Stadium was the 85,000-seat main stadium of the 1996 Summer Olympics and Paralympics in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Construction of the stadium began in 1993, and it was complete and ready for the opening ceremony in July 1996, where it hosted track and field events and the closing ceremony. After the Olympics and Paralympics, it was reconstructed into the baseball-specific Turner Field, used by the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball for 20 seasons (1997–2016). After the Braves departed for Truist Park, the facility was purchased by Georgia State University, which rebuilt the stadium a second time as Center Parc Stadium, designed for American football. Remigija Nazarovienė
Remigija Nazarovienė (née Sablovskaitė; born 2 June 1967 in Ashkabad, Turkmen SSR) is a retired Lithuanian heptathlete. She won the bronze medal at the 1997 World Championships in Athletics, 1997 World Championships and finished third at the 1998 IAAF World Combined Events Challenge. She won the Talence Decastar twice, in 1996 and 1997, and was runner-up in 1989 and 1998. She competed at three consecutive Olympic Games (1988 to 1996), three consecutive World Championships in Athletics (1995 to 1999), ad four straight editions of the European Athletics Championships (1990 to 2002). She holds the List of Lithuanian records in athletics, Lithuanian national record in heptathlon with 6604 points, and also held national records in the 100 m and 60 m hurdles. Patricia Danzi (née Nadler, born 13 February 1969) is a Swiss development official and former athlete. She competed in the women's heptathlon at the 1996 Summer Olympics. On 13 December 2019, Danzi was appointed director general of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. She assumed office on 1 May 2020. Jane Jamieson (born 23 June 1975) is a track and field athlete from Australia. Jamieson has competed in the heptathlon in the Olympic Games, World Championships and Commonwealth Games, finishing with Top-10 results at each level, including a gold medal at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester. Since the 2000 Olympic Games, Jamieson has been hampered by a string of knee, hamstring and calf injuries and missed the 2004 Olympic Games due to injury. Jamieson returned from injury to qualify for the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, but failed to complete the competition after suffering a calf strain to her left leg combining with the hamstring injury she suffered six weeks before the start of the Melbourne Games. Diane Claire Guthrie-Gresham (born October 24, 1971) is a retired female track and field athlete from Jamaica, who specialized in the Long Jump and Heptathlon during her career. Diane holds the National Collegiate Athletics Association championship meet record for women's Heptathlon, as well as the Caribbean record for that event. Competing for George Mason University, she compiled a total of 6527 at the University of Tennessee's Tom Black Track in Knoxville, Tennessee, between 2–3 June 1995. She won her second NCAA title with that mark, and also broke Jackie Joyner-Kersee's NCAA meet record.
