Atavist (album)
''Atavist'' is the fifth studio album by United States, American Heavy metal music, metal band Otep. The album was released on 26 April 2011 through Victory Records. This is the first album to not feature long-time bassist Jason McGuire, Jason "eViL j" McGuire who left the band on September 30, 2010. Recording Otep commented on their approach to the album's recording process; “Going into recording ATAVIST I wanted to feel, not think. I wanted to allow my subconscious to take over and let it guide me. I wanted to be a bit more primitive and emotional in sound and approach and I think I conquered that. I’m very proud of it." Tony Campos
Antonio Campos (born March 8, 1973) is an American musician. He is the current bassist for industrial metal bands Static-X and Fear Factory and the vocalist and bassist for Asesino. He is a former bassist for metal bands Prong, Soulfly, Ministry and Possessed. Career Campos was part of the original Static-X lineup, playing bass and performing backing vocals on all of the group's studio albums. Along with Wayne Static, he was one of the legal owners of the Static-X name, even though he did not participate in the band's temporary reunion from 2012–2013. In 2001, Campos broke his collarbone in a motorcycle accident, leaving him unable to play in the ongoing "Extreme Steel Tour". Campos continued to sing backing vocals on the tour, and Marty O'Brien took over bass duties. In 2002, Campos became part of Mexican American metal group Asesino. Gil Sharone
Gil Sharone is an American drummer and member of the rock bands Stolen Babies, Team Sleep, and formerly The Dillinger Escape Plan and Marilyn Manson. He was also a fill in for the punk rock band +44. His twin brother is Rani Sharone, also of Stolen Babies. Sharone is highly regarded as one of the most versatile touring/session drummers in the world, due to his work on classic-styled ska, Rocksteady and reggae, while also working in punk rock and industrial metal. Career Sharone supported Mark Hoppus's band +44 when Travis Barker broke his arm. Gil toured around Europe, Japan and Australia with +44 in early 2007. It is believed he learned all of +44's setlist on the flight from America to Europe. He played on Travis's OCDP Drum Kit, which is a custom made transparent green. Rani Sharone (born 1978) is the bassist/guitarist for the band Stolen Babies. He is the twin brother of drummer Gil Sharone. In 2010, Sharone and actor Bill Moseley formed the duo Spider Mountain, and released their self titled album.
