Astro Convention
Astro is a contract bridge bidding convention used to intervene over an opponent's one notrump (1NT) opening bid. The name is derived from the initials of the surnames of its inventors - Paul Allinger, Roger Stern and Lawrence Rosler. Astro employs a 2-level overcall in a minor suit when holds an unbalanced hand with at least nine cards in two suits, at least one of which is a major; hand strength should be unsuitable for, or not strong enough for a penalty double, typically no more than 15 points. The minor suit overcalls are artificial and carry the following meanings: :*2 shows at least 5-4 or 4-5 length in hearts and a minor suit, and :*2 shows at least 5-4 or 4-5 length in spades and another suit. Aspro Convention

Asptro Convention
Asptro is a contract bridge bidding convention used to intervene over a 1NT opening bid. Its methodology and hence its designation is a combination of two similar conventions – Aspro and Astro. *2 shows at least 5-4 either way round in hearts, the ''anchor'', and a minor suit. Exceptionally the intervenor holds hearts and spades with preference for spades. *2 shows at least 5-4 either way round in spades, the anchor, and another suit. If the other suit is hearts, there is preference for hearts. *2 and 2 are natural. Brozel
Brozel is a contract bridge bidding convention used to intervene after an opposing one notrump (1NT) opening bid. It features the following calls: *Double – shows any single suit; advancer bids 2, after which intervenor corrects to his actual suit (or passes with clubs). Cappelletti Convention
Cappelletti (also called Hamilton and Pottage) is one of many defensive bridge bidding conventions used in the card game contract bridge to compete or interfere in the auction when an opponent has opened one notrump (1NT). Usually attributed to Michael Cappelletti and his longtime partner Edwin Lewis, origin of the concept is also claimed by Fred Hamilton, John Pottage and Gerald Helms. Cappelletti can show a variety of one- and two-suited hands while retaining the penalty double for stronger hands. Landy Convention
Landy, named after its inventor Alvin Landy, is the first of several conventional defenses created to compete against an opponent's one notrump (1NT) opening. Landy is a 2 overcall of the opponents' 1NT opening to show at least four cards in each of the major suits; all other bids are natural. Requirements for the overcall vary from partnership to partnership: some require 5-5, some 5-4, and yet others only 4-4 (provided the overall strength is sufficient). The partner can take a preference to either major or make a non-forcing bid of a suit; 2NT is used as a forcing query.
