''Assunta Spina '' is a 1930 Italian silent drama film directed by Roberto Roberti and starring Rina De Liguoro and Febo Mari. It is based on the play of the same title by Salvatore Di Giacomo. Plot Assunta, a commoner of Naples, is scarred by her lover Michele for jealousy. Roberto Roberti
Vincenzo Leone (24 July 1879 – 10 January 1959), known professionally as Roberto Roberti, was an Italian actor, screenwriter and film director. He made over sixty films, mostly during the silent era. He was married to the actress Bice Valerian. Their son Sergio Leone became a celebrated director. During the 1910s Roberti made a number of films for the Turin-based Aquila Films, often featuring his wife in a leading role. He then moved to Caesar Film where he directed eighteen films starring the diva Francesca Bertini. Carlos Montes (actor)
Carlos Montes is a nationally respected leader in the Chicano, immigrant rights, and anti-war movements. He was a co-founder of the Brown Berets, a Chicano working class youth organization in the United States in the late 1960s and 1970s. The Brown Berets were inspired by and often compared to the Black Panther Party. Montes was one of the leaders of the Chicano Blowouts, a series of walkouts of East Los Angeles (region), East Los Angeles high schools to protest against racism and inequality in Los Angeles-area high schools. He is portrayed by Fidel Gomez in the 2006 HBO movie ''Walkout (film), Walkout''.
