Associação Ferroviária de Esportes Futebol Feminino, commonly known as Ferroviária or Ferroviária/Fundesport, is a Professional sports, professional women's association football club based in Araraquara, São Paulo (state), São Paulo state, Brazil. Founded in 2001, they have won the Campeonato Paulista de Futebol Feminino, Campeonato Paulista on four occasions. In 2014 they secured a Double (association football), double of the Campeonato Brasileiro de Futebol Feminino, Campeonato Brasileiro and the 2014 Copa do Brasil de Futebol Feminino, Copa do Brasil. Estádio Fonte Luminosa
Estádio Dr. Adhemar de Barros, usually known as Estádio Fonte Luminosa, or just Fonte Luminosa, is a football (soccer) stadium in Araraquara, Brazil. The stadium has a maximum capacity of 25,000. It was inaugurated in 1951. The stadium is owned by the Araraquara City Hall, and its formal name honors Adhemar Pereira de Barros, who was the governor of São Paulo state from 1938 to 1941, 1947 to 1951, and 1963 to 1966. Associação Ferroviária de Esportes usually plays their home matches at the stadium. ''Fonte Luminosa'' means ''Luminous Fountain''. The Campeonato Paulista de Futebol Feminino (''Paulista Women's Football Championship'', in English) is the women's football state championship of São Paulo State, and is contested since 1987. Format There is no predetermined format for the competition, changing almost every year. The 2001 edition became notorious as "one of the most discriminatory sports championships ever". The 2015 Copa do Brasil de Futebol Feminino was the ninth staging of the competition. The competition started on February 4, 2015, and concluded on April 8, 2015. 32 clubs of all regions of Brazil participated of the cup, which was organized by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). Competition format The competition was contested by 32 clubs in a knock-out format where all rounds were played over two legs and the away goals rule was used, but in the first two rounds, if the away team won the first leg with an advantage of at least three goals, the second leg would not be played and the club automatically qualified to the next round. The 2020 Copa CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina was the 12th edition of the CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina (also referred to as the ''Copa Libertadores Femenina''), South America's premier women's club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL. The competition was played between 5 and 21 March 2021. The tournament was originally to be held in Chile, scheduled for between 25 September and 11 October 2020. However, it was postponed by CONMEBOL on 19 June 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, provisionally to early 2021. The 2015 Copa Libertadores Femenina was the 7th edition of the Copa Libertadores Femenina, South America's premier women's club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL. The tournament was held in the city of Medellín, Colombia, from 28 October to 8 November 2015. It was the first time the tournament is hosted outside Brazil. The CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina, named as "Copa Libertadores Femenina" ( pt, Copa Libertadores Feminina or Taça Libertadores Feminina) is an annual international women's association football club competition in South America. It is organized by the South American Football Federation (CONMEBOL). The competition started in the 2009 season in response to the increased interest in women's football. It is the only CONMEBOL club competition for women. The tournament is the women's version of the Copa Libertadores, which is organized since 1960. Since 2019, clubs in the men's Libertadores have been required to have a women's team: failure to do so means their entry will be rejected. Associação Ferroviária de Esportes, commonly referred to as simply Ferroviária, is a Brazilian association football club in Araraquara, São Paulo. They currently play in the Série D, the fourth tier of Brazilian football, as well as in the Campeonato Paulista, São Paulo's premier state league. Founded on April 12, 1950, Ferroviária is the only Araraquara club to reach the Campeonato Paulista first division. The club's best campaign in that competition was in 1959, when the club finished in the third position. It is also the only club of the city to have competed in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B. The club competed in this competition in 1995. They play in carmine shirts, white shorts and socks.
