Caroline Monnet
Caroline "Coco" Monnet is an Algonquin French Canadian contemporary artist and filmmaker known for her work in sculpture, installation, and film. Early life and education Monnet is a multi-disciplinary contemporary artist and filmmaker based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She grew up between the Celtic coasts of France in Douarnenez and the Algonquin territory of Outaouais, Québec, and much of her work explores her Algonquin (Quebec) and French (France) dual heritage. She is the younger sister of artist and playwright Émilie Monnet. Monnet has B.A in communications and sociology from the University of Ottawa and has studied at the University of Granada in Spain. Marc Séguin (painter)
Marc Séguin (born March 20, 1970) is a French Canadian painter and novelist whose work is held in several important collections. Life Marc Séguin was born in Ottawa, Ontario on March 20, 1970. He studied at Concordia University, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. He writes, paints and makes prints. Recurrent themes in his writings and visual works include destruction, terrorism, the papacy, dictatorship and serial killers. One of his more macabre concepts has been to make paintings using human ashes. He is the father of four children, and divides his time between his organic farm in Hemmingford, Quebec, and his studio in Brooklyn, New York. Michel De Broin
Michel de Broin (born 1970 in Montreal, Quebec) is a Canadian sculptor. De Broin has created numerous public artworks in Canada and Europe, including the Salvador Allende monument in Montreal. He was the recipient of the 2007 Sobey Art Award. Life Michel de Broin was born in Montreal, Quebec in 1970. He studied studio arts at Concordia University, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1995, and at UQÀM where he received a Master of Fine Arts degree in 1997. Raphaëlle De Groot
Raphaëlle de Groot (born October 21, 1974) is a Canadian artist and educator living and working in Montreal, Quebec. She was born in Montreal, Quebec. She received a MFA from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). She has lectured on visual and media arts at UQAM. She has also been an invited artist and lecturer at Concordia University. In an early work ''Dévoilements (Unveilings) (1998–2001)'', nuns from the Religious Hospitallers of St. Joseph in Montreal collaborated with the artist in the production of the work. In later exhibitions, de Groot has invited visitors to participate by taking photographs or leaving with parts of her installation.
