Assam Women's League
The Assam Women's League is the top division of women's football league in the Indian state of Assam. The league is organised by the Assam Football Association (AFA), the official football governing body of the state. The inaugural season will be held in 2023. League format The league features twelve teams, placed in three groups. The group stage of the league consist of round robin phase with two winners from each group progressing to the final round. The winners of the final round will be crowned the champions of the Assam Women's League. The Assam Football Association (AFA) is one of the 37 Indian State Football Associations that are affiliated to the All India Football Federation. It governs association football in the state of Assam, India and also administers the Assam men's and women's football teams. The Indian Women's League 2 (abbreviated as the IWL 2) is the women's second tier professional football league in Indian football. The competition is established in 2023, with the first season starting from 2024. The league was launched as India's first national women's second tier professional football league below the Indian Women's League. Bijni is a town in Chirang district under the jurisdiction of Bodoland Territorial Council which controls the districts of the Bodoland Territorial Region in the state of Assam. Salbari
Salbari(Bodo: सालबारि) is one of the sub divisions of Baksa district in the state of Assam, India. History A hundred years ago, there was no village named Salbari, but the place was surrounded by various sal plantations, leading to economic and population growth. There were some old villages like Hudukhata, Samuagati, Kamlabari and Hasora. After some years, people moved to the Salbari sub-division and villages like Salbari, Madhapur, Udhiaguri Hadan, Tangabarigaon, Aaohata, Palchiguri, Pakriguri, Uhiaguri and Gwjwnphuri were created. There was also no marketplace near Salbari, so residents went to a one-day market around 8.5 kilometres away at Bahbari Bazaar, but sometimes people of Salbari had disputes with the larger groups or local people.
