Asian Women's Volleyball Challenge Cup
The Asian Women's Volleyball Challenge Cup, also known as the AVC Challenge Cup for Women, is an international volleyball competition in Asia and Oceania contested by the senior women's national teams of the members of Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), the sport's continent governing body. From 2023 edition, the winner will qualify for the FIVB Challenger Cup. This event should not be confused with the other, more prestigious continental competition for Asian national women's volleyball teams, the Asian Volleyball Championship and Asian Volleyball Cup. The two Asian Volleyball Challenge Cup tournaments has been won by two different national teams. Both Hong Kong and Vietnam have won one time. 2018 Asian Women's Volleyball Challenge Cup
The 2018 Asian Women's Volleyball Challenge Cup was supposed to be the inaugural edition of the Asian Women's Volleyball Challenge Cup, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Volleyball Association of Hong Kong, China. But due to unforeseen reasons the tournament was not held. Qualification The AVC members associations, some teams were participated for the 2017 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship. The AVC members associations were from five zonal associations, including, Central Asia (2 teams), East Asia (3 team), Oceania (2 team), Southeastern Asia (1 team). Nakhon Pathom
Nakhon Pathom ( th, นครปฐม, ) is a city (''thesaban nakhon'') in central Thailand, the former capital of Nakhon Pathom province. One of the most important landmarks is the giant Phra Pathommachedi. The city is also home to Thailand's only Bhikkhuni temple Wat Songkhammakalayani, Wat Song Thammakanlayani (), which is also open to women from abroad. Đinh Thị Trà Giang (born May 9, 1992) is a Vietnamese volleyball player who plays for the Vietnam women's national volleyball team and the former captain of Vietnam team.
