Ashok Kumar
Kumudlal Ganguly (13 October 1911 – 10 December 2001), better known by his stage name Ashok Kumar and also by Dadamoni, was an Indian actor who attained iconic status in Indian cinema and who was a member of the cinematic Ganguly family. He was honoured in 1988 with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the highest national award for cinema artists, by the Government of India and also received the Padma Bhushan in 1999 for his contributions to Indian cinema. Background and personal life Ashok Kumar was born Kumudlal Ganguly to a Bengali Hindu Brahmin family in Bhagalpur, Bengal Presidency, British India (present-day Bihar, India). Ashok Kumar (born 20 July 1983) is a professional golfer from India, currently playing on the Professional Golf Tour of India, where he was the 2003/04 and the 2006/07 Order of Merit winner. In 2004, he won the Hero Honda Golf Tour Order of Merit for the 2003/04 season. He won it again in 2006/07 and in 2010 under the name of the PGTI after recording 5 wins in 8 events played, where he finished in the top-10 in all 8 of them. Kumar played in 12 events in 2008, but did not record a win, finishing in the top-10 8 times. Kumar added another win in 2009 in April at the All India Match Play Championship. Ashok Kumar Balakrishnan is an Indian actor who has appeared in Ramanand Sagar's Shree Krishna serial and now is working in Tamil and South Indian Film Industry. Early life Ashok Kumar was born and brought up in a middle-class family to R. Balakrishnan and Radha Balakrishnan in Mumbai. Ashok Kumar (28 May 1956 – 15 March 2010) was a British Labour politician who served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland from 1997 until his death shortly before the 2010 general election. Early life Kumar was born in Haridwar, Uttar Pradesh, India, to Jagat Ram Saini and Santosh Kumari, who emigrated to Derby when Kumar was twelve years of age. He attended Rykneld Secondary Modern School in Derby and left aged 15 to study for O-levels at Wilmorton College, before attending Derby & District College of Art & Technology for his A-Levels. Ashok Kumar Aggarwal (circa 1941 22 October 2014) was an Indian cinematographer who worked mainly in the South Indian film industry. In a career that spanned nearly four decades, he worked in over 125 feature films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi languages. Aggarwal was a member of the Indian Society of Cinematographers (ISC). Born in Allahabad to a Hindi poet, Ashok Kumar obtained a diploma in photography from the Allahabad University. His passion for cinema made him enroll for a course in motion picture photography at the Institute of Film Technology, Adyar, Chennai. Ashok Kumar (born 1 June 1950) is an Indian former professional field hockey player. He is the son of the Indian hockey player Dhyan Chand. Kumar was known for his exceptional skills and ball control. He was a member of the Indian team that won the 1975 Men's Hockey World Cup, 1975 World Cup.
