Ashiana (Pakistani Film)
''Ashiana'' is a 1964 Pakistani film directed by S. M. Yusuf, who co-produced it also under banner ''F&Y Movies''. The lead cast of the film includes Zeba, Kamal, Habib, Rukhsana, Asha Posley, Nighat Sultana and Lehri. The music was composed by A. Hameed and lyrics by Fayyaz Hashmi. ''Ashiana'' is the third collaboration of S. M. Yusuf with Fayyaz Hashmi and A.Hameed, after '' Saheli'' and '' Aulad'' (1962). S. M. Mushtaq Gazdar
Mushtaq Gazdar ( ur, مشتاق گزدر) (1940 – 15 November 2000) was a Pakistani cinematographer, who scripted, directed and produced around 190 short feature films, documentary films and newsreels on subjects including poverty-stricken women, especially those abused, bought and sold in open flesh markets as well as helpless children. Early life and career Mushtaq Gazdar was born in 1940 in Karachi. He did his MSc. degree in physics from the University of Karachi. He held diplomas in film-making technique from London and Tokyo, and founded his own production house in Karachi. He also worked as ''Production Assistant'' with the UK-based TV film mini-series, the Emmy Award winner ''Traffik'' (1989). He was a founding member of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan. Sultan Rahi
Sultan Rahi ( ur, ﺳﻠﻄﺎﻥ ﺭﺍﮨﯽ ; June 24, 1938 – January 9, 1996) was a Pakistani actor, producer and screenwriter. He established himself as one of the leading and most successful actors of Pakistani and Punjabi cinema, and received a reputation as Pakistan's "Clint Eastwood". During a career spanning 40 years, he acted in some 703 Punjabi films and 100 Urdu films, winning around 160 awards. The Nigar Awards ( ur, , translit=Inʿām Negār, lit=Picture Awards) were presented in an annual award show to recognize outstanding achievement in Pakistani cinema. The honors are awarded by Nigar Magazine founded in 1948. The Nigar Awards are Pakistan's version of the Academy Awards. The annual presentation ceremony features performances by prominent artists. The first Nigar Awards ceremony was held in 1957, to honor the accomplishments of Pakistani cinema for the year 1956. Munir Hussain (singer)
Munir Hussain (1930 - 27 September 1995) was a Pakistani playback singer. While working in Pakistani films for over thirty-eight years, he primarily sung for Urdu and Punjabi language films. His work include 217 songs in 163 films. He was one of the first Pakistani singers who earned his recognition in Lollywood, a film industry that produces Urdu and Punjabi-language films. Despite of his classical music background and prominence in film industry, he was not able to achieve recognition initially because of Ahmed Rushdi and later because of Masood Rana.
