The Arrondissement of Nivelles (french: Arrondissement de Nivelles; nl, Arrondissement Nijvel) is an Arrondissements of Belgium, arrondissement in Wallonia and Belgium. It is the only arrondissement in the Provinces of Belgium, province of Walloon Brabant, and is coterminous with it. Before 1995, it was one of three arrondissements in the Province of Brabant. It is both an Arrondissements of Belgium#Administrative, administrative and a Arrondissements of Belgium#Judicial, judicial arrondissement, both having the same borders as the province. Arrondissements Of Belgium
Arrondissements of Belgium are subdivisions below the provinces of Belgium. There are administrative, judicial and electoral arrondissements. These may or may not relate to identical geographical areas. Belgium, a federalized state, geographically consists of three regions, of which only Flanders and Wallonia are subdivided into five provinces each; Brussels is neither a province nor is it part of one. Administrative The 43 administrative arrondissements are an administrative level between the municipalities and the provinces. Brussels-Capital forms a single arrondissement for all 19 municipalities in the region by that name. As an exception, the arrondissement of Verviers has two NUTS codes: BE335 for the French-speaking part and BE336 for the German-speaking part. Ramillies (; wa, Ramiêye) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant. On 1 January 2012, Ramillies had a total population of 6,211. The total area is 48.68 km² which gives a population density of 128 inhabitants per km². The municipality consists of the following districts: Autre-Église, Bomal, Geest-Gérompont-Petit-Rosière, Grand-Rosière-Hottomont, Huppaye, Mont-Saint-André, and Ramillies-Offus. La Hulpe (; nl, Terhulpen, ; wa, L’ Elpe) is a municipality of Wallonia in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant, 20 km south-east of the centre of Brussels, but only about 3 km from the edge of the Brussels-Capital Region.
