Paulo Evaristo Arns
Paulo Evaristo Arns OFM (; 14 September 1921 – 14 December 2016) was a Brazilian prelate of the Catholic Church, who was made a cardinal and the Archbishop of São Paulo by Pope Paul VI, and later became cardinal protopriest. His ministry began with a twenty-year academic career, but when charged with responsibility for the Sao Paulo Archdiocese he proved a relentless opponent of Brazil's military dictatorship and its use of torture as well as an advocate for the poor and a vocal defender of liberation theology. In his later years he openly criticized the way Pope John Paul II governed the Catholic Church through the Roman Curia and questioned his teaching on priestly celibacy and other issues. Inke Arns
Inke Arns (born 1968 in Duisdorf/Bonn) is a German curator and theorist known for her works focusing on media arts. After having held positions at the Humboldt University of Berlin, Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig, Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst (HGK) in Zürich and Piet Zwart Institut in Rotterdam, she has been the artistic director of ''Hartware MedienKunstVerein'' since 2005, a contemporary art space in Dortmund, Germany. She has curated numerous exhibitions, particularly in the field of media art. Her publications include studies of the Slovenian NSK movement. Education She lived in Paris from 1982 to 1986, and studied Russian literature, Eastern European studies, political science, and art history in Berlin and Amsterdam from 1988 to 1996. Robert Arns
Robert George Arns (1933–2019), was an American experimental physicist working in nuclear and particle physics, and also an historian of physics, technology, and electrical history. Arns was a professor and for eight years vice president of academic affairs (provost) at the University of Vermont. He was a principal in the management consulting firm Arns & Green, Inc. He was also an accomplished painter, specializing most recently in works inspired by images from the Hubble Space Telescope.
