''Arkeology'' is a compilation album by World Party released on April 10, 2012 in the US and on May 28, 2012 in the UK. The album is composed almost entirely of previously unreleased material: 70 tracks including new songs finished as recently as 2011 ("Words", "Everybody’s Falling In Love" and "Photograph"), plus an "unheard history of rare studio gems, live sessions, concert recordings, radio interviews, covers, demos and B-sides." World Party
World Party were a British musical group, which was essentially the solo project of its sole member, Karl Wallinger. He started the band in 1986 in London after leaving the Waterboys. Career After a stint as musical director of a West End performance of ''The Rocky Horror Picture Show'', Karl Wallinger joined a funk band called "The Out", before joining Mike Scott's Waterboys in 1984 to record the album ''A Pagan Place''. After their third album in 1985, ''This Is the Sea'', Wallinger departed to form World Party. Recorded at Wallinger's home in 1986, his debut album ''Private Revolution'' yielded two minor hits in the UK, "Private Revolution" and "Ship of Fools". John Lennon

The song contains a nod to "Sympathy for the Devil" by the Rolling Stones. Fixing A Hole
"Fixing a Hole" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles from their 1967 album '' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band''. It was written by Paul McCartney and credited to Lennon–McCartney. Writing In a 1968 interview, McCartney said that the song was "about the hole in the road where the rain gets in, a good old analogy – the hole in your make-up which lets the rain in and stops your mind from going where it will." He went on to say that the following lines were about fans who hung around outside his home day and night, and whose actions he found off-putting: "See the people standing there / Who disagree, and never win / And wonder why they don't get in my door." Some fans assumed the song was about heroin due to the drug slang "fixing a hole," but McCartney later said that the song was an "ode to pot". "Cry Baby Cry" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles from their 1968 double album ''The Beatles'' (also known as the "White Album"). It was written by John Lennon and credited to the Lennon–McCartney partnership. The coda of the song is a short segment referred to as "Can You Take Me Back", written by Paul McCartney, which was actually an outtake from the "I Will" session. Composition Demos indicate that Lennon composed the song in late 1967. The original lyrics were "Cry baby cry, make your mother buy." Lennon described to biographer Hunter Davies how he got the words from an advertisement. Some of the lyrics of the song are loosely based on the nursery rhyme "Sing a Song of Sixpence". Guy Chambers
Guy Antony Chambers (born 12 January 1963) is an English songwriter, musician and record producer, best known for his work with Robbie Williams. Education Chambers attended Quarry Bank Comprehensive School sixth form in Liverpool. From 18, he studied composition and piano at the Guildhall School of Music, London. Career Chambers joined World Party in 1986. He co-wrote 'Love Street' with Karl Wallinger on the band's album ''Goodbye Jumbo''. He appeared on The Mission's album ''Carved in Sand'', providing the orchestral arrangement and piano for the song "Grapes of Wrath", and was producer for the short-lived group Stress with their debut album. "Happiness Is a Warm Gun" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles from their 1968 album ''The Beatles'' (also known as "the White Album"). It was written by John Lennon and credited to the Lennon–McCartney partnership. The song was composed into three distinct sections, referred by Lennon as "the Dirty Old Man", "the Junkie" and "the Gunman (Satire of '50s R&R)". He derived the title from an NRA magazine and explained that the lyrics were a double entendre for guns and his sexual desire for Yoko Ono. Although tensions were high during the recording sessions for the White Album, the Beatles worked together as a unit to complete the song's challenging rhythmic issues and time signature changes. Walter Bullock (May 6, 1907, Shelburn, Indiana – August 19, 1953, Los Angeles, California) was an American song lyricist and screenwriter. He recorded with his brother, James Russell Lowell Bullock. On April 22, 1930, they released a record on the Champion label (16004). Side A was "I'm Satisfied With My Girl" and side B was "He Man Chew Tobacco". David Catlin-Birch is a British musician. He was a bass guitarist for pop/alternative rock band World Party, and was the original "Paul" for the March 1980 launch of The Beatles tribute band, The Bootleg Beatles. With Rowland Rivron and Richard Vranch, he made up the core team for BBC Radio 2's musical comedy show '' Jammin''' which won a Silver Sony Comedy Award in 2004. He played bass guitar with The Flight of the Conchords on their 2005 Radio 2 series.
