Archie Smith (footballer, Born 1995)
Archibald Smith (born 19 July 1995) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Brisbane Lions in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Smith was born in Brisbane on 19 July 1995, the son of former National Basketball Association, NBA and National Basketball League (Australia), NBL basketball player Andre Moore. Smith himself played junior basketball at an elite level and was courted by multiple List of NCAA Division I men's basketball programs, Division One colleges in the United States before being scouted by AFL recruiters at the age of 17. Despite having no prior Australian rules football experience, Smith drew interest from recruiters due to his supreme athleticism for his size. Archie Smith (footballer, Born 1872)
Arthur Robert Smith (16 February 1872 – 20 July 1961) was an Australian rules footballer who played for Collingwood in the years leading up to and following the formation of the Victorian Football League (VFL). Playing career Smith, who was recruited from Richmond Football Club, was Collingwood's main target up forward during his career. Smith made his VFL debut in Collingwood's inaugural VFL game, against St Kilda Football Club in round one, 1897, and went on to top their goal-kicking in each of his first four seasons. Smith's tally of 31 goals in 1898 was enough to win the VFL Leading Goalkicker Medal. Although he wasn't the most prolific forward for Collingwood in 1901, his 30 goals helped his club reach the 1901 VFL Grand Final, where they lost to Essendon. The Archie Smith Wholesale Fish Company is a historic site in Sebastian, Florida, United States. It is located at 1740 Indian River Drive. On October 28, 1994, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. The building was built in 1926 and purchased by Archie Smith in 1927, who established a fishing business there. The site included an expanded house, a shed for net storage, a crab house, a fish house, and extensive docks. The business office was built in 1927, and the ice house (originally Old Roseland Railroad Depot) was built in 1931. The business remained in the family until the 2004 hurricanes (especially Frances & Jeanne) caused significant damages to the site. ''The Mysteries of Harris Burdick'' is a 1984 picture book by the American author Chris Van Allsburg. It consists of a series of images, ostensibly created by Harris Burdick, a man who has mysteriously disappeared. Each image is accompanied by a title and a single line of text, which encourage readers to create their own stories. Many famous writers have tried to put their own twists on the pictures. The book is available in a Portfolio Edition which includes another image/caption pair from the story "Missing in Venice".
