Archidendron Hendersonii
''Archidendron hendersonii'', the white lace flower or tulip siris, is a rainforest tree in eastern Australia. A rare plant, listed as vulnerable, it is named after J.A. Henderson, who collected the original specimen at Ballina. It grows north from the Richmond River, New South Wales up to Cape Melville in tropical Queensland. The tree grows up to 18 metres tall with a trunk diameter of 60 cm. Rainforests are characterized by a closed and continuous tree canopy, moisture-dependent vegetation, the presence of epiphytes and lianas and the absence of wildfire. Ballina () is a town in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia, and the seat of the Ballina Shire local government area. Ballina's urban population at June 2018 was 26,381. The Richmond River is a river situated in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia. Course and features The river rises at the northern end of the Richmond Range, near its junction with the McPherson Range, on the Queensland/ New South Wales border, west of Mount Lindesay, and flows generally south east and north east, joined by twelve tributaries, including the Wilsons River, before reaching its mouth at its confluence with the Coral Sea of the South Pacific Ocean near Ballina; descending over its course. Cape Melville
Cape Melville is a headland on the eastern coast of the Cape York Peninsula in Australia. To its west lies Princess Charlotte Bay. It is part of the Cape Melville National Park. Cape Melville was named Stoney Cape in 1815 by Lieutenant Charles Jeffreys on the HM Kangaroo but later renamed by him as Cape Melville Pipon Island is about six km north of the cape and Hales Island about two km east, both part of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Flora is all the plant life present in a particular region or time, generally the naturally occurring (indigenous) native plants.
