''Archidendron bigeminum'' is a tree species in the legume family ( Fabaceae). It is found in India and Sri Lanka. It is known as "kalitiya - කලටිය" in Sinhala. The World Conservation Monitoring Centre (WCMC) in the 1998 IUCN Redlist reviewed ''Abarema bigemina'' and ''Pithecellobium gracile'' as Vulnerable species. A vulnerable species is a species which has been Conservation status, categorized by the International Union for Conservation of Nature as being threatened species, threatened with extinction unless the circumstances that are threatened species, threatening its survival and reproduction improve. The UN Environment Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC) is a collaboration centre of UN Environment Programme, based in Cambridge in the United Kingdom.
