The men's individual recurve open archery discipline at the 2020 Summer Paralympics The , branded as the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, was an international multi-sport parasports event held from 24 August to 5 September 2021 in Tokyo, Japan. They were the 16th Summer Paralympic Games as organized by the International Paralym ... will be contested from 27 August to 3 September. In the ranking rounds each archer shoots 72 arrows, and is seeded according to score. In the knock-out stages each archer shoots three arrows per set against an opponent, the scores being aggregated. Losing semifinalists compete in a bronze medal match. As the field contained 31 archers, the single highest-ranked archer in the ranking round, will progress directly to the round of 16 places. is a sports park in Yumenoshima, Kōtō, Kōtō Ward, Tokyo, Japan. It was made by improving a landfill site called Yumenoshima, which had been the final disposal site for garbage from 1957 until 1967. Taymon Kenton-Smith (born 6 September 1994) is an Australian Paralympic Recurve Archer. He represented Australia at the 2020 Summer Paralympics, in Men's individual recurve, and Mixed team recurve and has been selected to compete at the 2024 Paris Paralympics . Personal Kenton-Smith was born on 6 September 1994. He was born without any fingers on his left hand. He designed the logo for his Facebook Archery page himself, along with the saying "Half the hand, Twice the effort", and is known by many around him to be very focused and driven when achieving goals. Eric Christopher Bennett (born 4 November 1973) is an is an American paralympic archer who competes in recurve archery. He is a four-time Paralympian, having represented the United States at the 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020 Paralympic Games. Additionally he is a two-time World Para Archery Champion and a four-time U.S. national champion. Personal life Bennet began learning archery at the age of 7. He lost his right arm above the elbow in a car accident caused by a drunk driver when he was 15 years old. Bennett learned to shoot with only one arm. He joined the U.S. national team in 2007, qualifying for his first Paralympics in Beijing the following year. Bennett is the former physics teacher of Olympic archer Brady Ellison.
