Arab Woman Of The Year Award
The Arab Women of the Year Awards were created in 2015 and are organized by the ''London Arabia Organisation'' with support from the Mayor of London, Regent's University London and The Bicester Village Shopping Collection corporate partners. They are now an annual event, hosted by London Arabia Organisation as well as numerous partners and supporters. The Awards do not have set categories, to ensure the women are selected purely on merit, rather than their background or chosen field. Multiple awards are given each year in a wide range of categories and over fifty women have now been awarded. Mayor Of London
The mayor of London is the chief executive of the Greater London Authority. The role was created in 2000 after the 1998 Greater London Authority referendum, Greater London devolution referendum in 1998, and was the first Directly elected mayors in England and Wales, directly elected mayor in the United Kingdom. The current mayor is Sadiq Khan, who took office on 9 May 2016. Sawsan al-Sha'er ( ar, سوسن الشاعر, born July 12, 1956) is widely regarded as Bahrain's most influential liberal intellectual. A journalist and author, she is a columnist with Al-Watan (Bahrain), Al-Watan newspaper, having joined the staff there from the pro-government Al Ayam (Bahrain), Al-Ayam. Ameera bint Aidan bin Nayef Al-Taweel Al-Otaibi ( ar, أميرة بنت عيدان بن نايف الطويل العصيمي العتيبي; born 6 November 1983) is a Saudi Arabian philanthropist and former princess. Hind Al-Eryani
Hind Al-Eryani is a Yemeni activist and journalist. She advocates for women's rights, LGBTQ+, and peace in Yemen, and has written many articles in support of the topics.
