Appointment Of Love
''Appointment with Love'' ( arz, موعد غرام, translit. Maw`ed Gharam) is a 1956 Egyptian romance/musical film directed and co-written by the Egyptian film director Henry Barakat. It stars Abdel Halim Hafez, Faten Hamama, Rushdy Abaza, Zahrat El-Ola, and Imad Hamdi. Plot Faten Hamama plays Nawal, a journalist who meets Samir, a young man. She encourages him to pursue a singing career and he does. He starts a successful career and becomes famous. Nawal gets paralyzed and, not willing to hinder his progress, tries to end their relationship without telling him the truth. Samir finds about the truth. Recognizing her great sacrifice, he returns to her and marries her. Henry Barakat
Henry Antoun Barakat ( ar, هنري أنطون بركات, 11 June 1914, Cairo – 27 May 1997, Cairo) was a well known Egyptian film director. He was born in Shubra to a Melkite Greek Catholic father of Syro-Lebanese descent, and a Syro-Lebanese mother. His father, Dr. Antoun Barakat, was a physician and received the title of Beik by the King for the services he rendered., He directed some of the most famous films in the Egyptian Cinema. Faten Hamama
Faten Ahmed Hamama ( ar, فاتن حمامه ; 27 May 1931 – 17 January 2015) was an Egyptian film and television actress and film producer. She was the first wife of Ezz El-Dine Zulficar. She made her screen debut in 1939, when she was only seven years old. Her earliest roles were minor, but her activity and gradual success helped to establish her as a distinguished Egyptian actress. Later revered as an icon in Egyptian cinema. In 1996, nine of the films she starred in were included in the Top hundred films in the history of Egyptian cinema by the cinema critics of Cairo International Film Festival.
