Richard Cheese & Lounge Against The Machine (or simply Richard Cheese) is a cover band and comedy act, performing popular songs in a lounge/swing style. Lounge singer Richard Cheese is a character created and portrayed by Los Angeles–based actor/comedian/singer Mark Jonathan Davis. History Davis developed the Richard Cheese lounge singer idea in the mid-1990s. The band's work was first broadcast in 2000 by KROQ-FM and the Dr. Demento show. Releases The band's debut album ''Lounge Against the Machine'' was released in 2000 by Oglio Records. Cheese's second and third albums, ''Tuxicity'' and ''I'd Like a Virgin'' were independently released in 2002 and 2004 by Cheese's own label, Ideatown Entertainment (later renamed to Coverage Records). David Henry Wray (born 20 June 1959) is an Australian jazz singer, musician and songwriter who performs under the stage name Frank Bennett, a blend of Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett. His vocal style is influenced by those two singers and the music of the 1940s and 1950s. Black Velvet Flag
Black Velvet Flag was a New York City-based comedy music trio, known for their humorous, lounge-styled covers of songs by Southern California punk rock bands, and for performing while wearing tuxedos. They became known in 1994, after performing on the New York music scene, which suddenly propelled them to fame in just six months. Their only full-length album, ''Come Recline'', was released in 1995 on Go-Kart Records. In 2003, an interactive documentary of the band, entitled ''The Rise and Fall of Black Velvet Flag'', was released; it was directed by Sheldon Schiffer. The Lounge Kittens
The Lounge Kittens were an English comedy lounge band formed in Southampton in 2012. They perform covers of classic popular songs, in particular rock and heavy metal songs, in a lounge style focusing on vocal harmonies accompagned by a piano. The trio consists of vocalists Jenny Deacon, Timia Gwendoline, and Zan Lawther, sometimes called Red Kitten, Blue Kitten, and Pink Kitten respectively because of the colour of their hair, with Deacon also performing piano. Their songs are released via their YouTube channel and accompanied by tongue-in-cheek videos which take token ideas from the original artists' videos. Ricotta () is an Italian whey cheese made from sheep, cow, goat, or Italian water buffalo milk whey left over from the production of other cheeses.
