Akiko Aoyagi (born January 24, 1950) is an American cookbook author and artist. She is best known as the recipe developer, illustrator, and co-author (with William Shurtleff) of the soy-based cookbook series ''The Book of Tofu'' (1975), ''The Book of Miso'' (1976), and ''The Book of Tempeh'' (1979), that had a strong impact on the natural foods movement within the American counterculture. Kōyō Aoyagi
is a Japanese professional baseball pitcher who currently plays for the Hanshin Tigers of Nippon Professional Baseball. Early baseball career Kōyō played ball for the Terao Dolphins as a fifth-grader in primary school, and went on to pitch for Namamugi Junior High. He became the ace pitcher of Kawasaki Kikoka High School in Kanagawa, but his team never made it to any national tournaments. He entered Teikyo University where he was a regular starter in the Tokyo Metropolitan Area University Baseball League. (27 March 1903 - 17 May 1976) was a Japanese film director and film producer. Born in Kanagawa Prefecture, he attended Meiji University but left before graduating. He worked at the Zenshinza theater troupe before joining the Toho studio in 1937. Takuo Aoyagi
was a Japanese engineer, known for his work leading to the modern pulse oximeter. Early life, education and career Aoyagi was born February 14, 1936, in Niigata Prefecture, Japan. His parents were Monshichi and Tatsu Aoyagi. His father was a mathematics teacher and his mother was a homemaker. Aoyagi received an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Niigata University in 1958. He then worked for a time for the scientific instrumentation company Shimadzu Corporation, before moving to the research division of the medical equipment company Nihon Kohden in 1971.
