"Anything for You" is the fifth episode of the third season, and 49th episode overall from the Fox series '' Gotham''. The episode was written by consulting producer Denise Thé and directed by TJ Scott. It was first broadcast on October 17, 2016. In the episode, Oswald Cobblepot's first days as mayor are threatened when the newly emerged Red Hood comes back to spread chaos and challenge his authority. Edward Nygma makes a new discovery while being reinstated at the GCPD as a liaison in the case while Bruce Wayne and Jim Gordon set off to find Ivy Pepper, still not aware that she has grown up physically. "Anything For You" is a 1988 ballad written by Cuban-American singer and songwriter Gloria Estefan and sung by Estefan and Miami Sound Machine. The song appeared on their 1987 album '' Let It Loose''. After years of fluctuating success in the United States, "Anything for You" marked a breakthrough for the group when it topped the ''Billboard'' magazine Hot 100 chart on May 14, 1988, and remained there for two weeks. It was the first of three number-ones for Estefan. Due to the success of the single, the album ''Let It Loose'' was re-released with the title ''Anything For You'' outside North America . The song also spent three weeks at #1 on the Adult Contemporary chart and peaked at #3 on the Hot Latin Tracks on June 25, 1988. It is the first studio album to feature a specific credit for Estefan, but is her 10th album overall including her work with Miami Sound Machine. Initially gaining little attention in Europe, the success of the single '' Anything for You'' led to the album being re-released under that name, and with a different cover art, across Europe, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand from October 1988 to early 1989. While becoming a club favorite and a grassroots hit on The Box in the United States and Canada, the single only peaked at number 74 on the Canadian Singles Chart. ''A Dangerous Maid'' is a musical with a book by Charles W. Bell, music by George Gershwin and lyrics by Ira Gershwin (writing under the pseudonym "Arthur Francis"). The script is based on Bell's 1918 play ''A Dislocated Honeymoon''. The story concerns an ex-showgirl who elopes with a society boy, but his family tries to break up the marriage. The Gershwins wrote ten songs for the musical, eight of which were used in the production, which premiered in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on March 21, 1921. It toured through several cities and ended in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where it closed on April 16, 1921. The show was George Gershwin's second book musical and his first full score written with his brother Ira.
