Antonio Johnson (born October 29, 2001) is an American football Safety (gridiron football position), safety for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Texas A&M Aggies football, Texas A&M. Early years Johnson attended O’Fallon Township High School in O’Fallon, Illinois before transferring to East St. Louis Senior High School in East St. Louis, Illinois. He was selected to play in the 2020 All-American Bowl (high school football), All-American Bowl. A four-star prospect, he committed to play college football at Texas A&M University. College career Johnson played in seven games and made one start as a true freshman at Texas A&M in 2020, recording 14 tackles. Safety is a position in gridiron football on the American football positions#Defense, defense. The safeties are defensive backs who line up ten to fifteen yards from the line of scrimmage. In gridiron football, a sack occurs when the quarterback (or another offensive player acting as a passer) is tackled behind the line of scrimmage before throwing a forward pass, when the quarterback is tackled behind the line of scrimmage in the " pocket" and without clear intent, or when a passer runs out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage due to defensive pressure.
