Anthony Valentine Patrick Johnson (31 August 1924 – 31 May 2001), was an Australian politician. He was a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly between 1973 and 1983. Parliamentary career In 1973 Johnson was elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly for the seat of Mount Druitt Mount Druitt is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Anthony Rolfe Johnson
Anthony Rolfe Johnson (5 November 1940 – 21 July 2010) was an English operatic tenor. Early life Anthony Rolfe Johnson was born in Tackley in Oxfordshire. As a boy, he demonstrated musical ability and sang as a boy soprano, making a record with HMV. Despite his ability, he did not consider singing as a career and instead went to study for an agricultural degree. He worked as a farm manager, and would sing church hymns to his herd of cows. He joined a choral society in Crawley, West Sussex, and sang regularly with the choir of St Nicholas' Church, Worth, and was encouraged by another member to pursue a professional singing career. Career Rolfe Johnson studied with Ellis Keeler and Vera Rózsa at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He was also tutored by Peter Pears. He first appeared in opera in the chorus and in small roles at the Glyndebourne Festival between 1972 and 1976. Antony and the Johnsons is an American music group presenting the work of Anohni and her collaborators. Career British experimental musician David Tibet of Current 93 heard a demo and offered to release Anohni's music through his Durtro label. Anohni started the band, its name inspired by trans activist Marsha P. Johnson. The debut album, ''Antony and the Johnsons'', was released in 1998. In 2001, while still known as Antony Hegarty, Anohni/Hegarty released a short follow-up EP, ''I Fell in Love with a Dead Boy'', which, in addition to the title track, included a cover of "Mysteries of Love", a David Lynch/Angelo Badalamenti song and "Soft Black Stars", a Current 93 cover. Anthony James "White Tony" Johnson (22 July 1968 – 22 February 1991) was an English criminal, one-time member of the Cheetham Hill Gang in Manchester. He was gunned down in 1991 in the car park of the Penny Black pub, Cheetham Hill. Desmond Noonan was tried and acquitted of the murder. Anthony Johnson ( 1600 – 1670) was a black Angolan known for achieving wealth in the early 17th-century Colony of Virginia. He was one of the first African Americans whose right to own a slave for life was recognized by the Virginia courts. Held as an indentured servant in 1621, he earned his freedom after several years, and was granted land by the colony. He later became a tobacco farmer in Maryland. He attained great wealth after completing his term as an indentured servant, and has been referred to as "'the black patriarch' of the first community of Negro property owners in America". Anthony Johnson (February 1, 1966 – September 6, 2021), sometimes credited as A. J. Johnson, was an American actor and comedian. He was best known for his role as "Ezal" in the 1995 comedy film ''Friday''. Career Born in Compton, California, his father Eddie Smith was a stuntman and a co-founder of the Black Stuntmen's Association. Johnson had credited his father for helping him enter the film industry, by getting him to work in film productions. Philip Anthony Johnson (born November 16, 1940) is a retired American rower. He competed in coxless pairs at the 1964 and 1968 Olympics and won a silver medal in 1968. Johnson was born in Washington, D.C., and began his rowing career under the legendary Charlie Butt at Washington-Lee High School. He continued to row at Syracuse University and the Potomac Boat Club. At the 1964 Summer Olympics, he placed tenth together with James Edmonds. His breakthrough came in 1967, when, together with Larry Hough, he won the Pan American Games, the National Championship, the North American Championship, and the European Championship. Next year they placed second at the 1968 Olympics, and in 1969 won another European title. He was a Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) senator and JLP Member of Parliament, ambassador to the United States, and High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
