Anthony Henry (American Football)
Anthony Danel Henry (born November 3, 1976) is a former American football cornerback who played in the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the fourth round of the 2001 NFL Draft and also played for the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions. He played college football at South Florida. High school Henry Attended Estero High School in Estero, Florida. He was named the District MVP in track, after setting school records in the triple jump (44”1’) and high jump (6”6’). In football, he was named Lee County Athlete of the Year and District Player of the Year. He also lettered in basketball. College career Henry accepted a scholarship from the University of South Florida. A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. Phillip Buchanon
Phillip Darren Buchanon (born September 19, 1980) is a former American football cornerback that played in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Miami, and was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the first round of the 2002 NFL Draft. Buchanon also played for the Houston Texans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Detroit Lions, and Washington Redskins before retiring after the 2011 season. In gridiron football, a sack occurs when the quarterback (or another offensive player acting as a passer) is tackled behind the line of scrimmage before throwing a forward pass, when the quarterback is tackled behind the line of scrimmage in the " pocket" and without clear intent, or when a passer runs out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage due to defensive pressure. Jon Kelly Kitna (born September 21, 1972) is a former American football quarterback in the National Football League for the Seattle Seahawks, Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions, and Dallas Cowboys. Proposition 48 (NCAA)
Proposition 48 is an NCAA regulation that stipulates minimum high school grades and standardized test scores that student-athletes must meet in order to participate in college athletic competition. The NCAA enacted Proposition 48 in 1986. As of 2010, the regulation is as follows: Before a high school student can be eligible to play Division I sports, he or she must meet academic requirements in high school. Those standards include: * The successful completion of 16 core courses. * A sliding-scale combination of grades in high school core courses and standardized-test scores.
