Anthony Bowie
Anthony Lee Bowie (born November 9, 1963) is an American former professional basketball player. He is a former NBA shooting guard, most renowned for his stint with the Orlando Magic. With the Magic, Bowie became one of the top bench players, often stepping in to provide a spark and energy, timely baskets, and defensive stops. He is currently an Elementary School P.E coach. College career After high school, Bowie played college basketball at Seminole State, from 1982 to 1984, and at Oklahoma, from 1984 to 1986. Professional career Bowie was selected in the third round (66th overall pick), of the 1986 NBA Draft, by the Houston Rockets, out of the University of Oklahoma. A.O. Near East B.C. is one of the oldest professional basketball clubs in Greece. The basketball club was founded in 1927. The team is located in Kaisariani, which is a suburb of the city of Athens. In basketball, a rebound, sometimes colloquially referred to as a board, is a statistic awarded to a player who retrieves the ball after a missed field goal or free throw. Rebounds in basketball are a routine part in the game; if a shot is successfully made possession of the ball will change, otherwise the rebound allows the defensive team to take possession. Rebounds are also given to a player who tips in a missed shot on his team's offensive end. A rebound can be grabbed by either an offensive player or a defensive player. Continental Basketball Association MVP Award
The Continental Basketball Association (CBA) Player of the Year, formerly known as the Eastern Basketball Association (EBA) Most Valuable Player and the CBA Most Valuable Player, was an annual award given to the best player in the CBA. The winner was selected by a vote of the league's head coaches. Twenty-three of the winners have been guards, 30 have been forwards, and only four have been centers. The Greek Basketball Cup or Hellenic Basketball Cup (Greek language, Greek: Κύπελλο Ελλάδος καλαθοσφαίρισης ανδρών) is the top-tier level annual pro basketball national cup competition in Greece.
