''Anthology'' is a compilation album by American indie rock/emo band Christie Front Drive. The album was released in 1995 by Caulfield Records. It is a compilation of the band's first 12" and 7" releases up to 1995, however excluding the three songs from their split EP with Boys Life ''Scout Life'' (formerly ''Boys' Life'') is the monthly magazine of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). Christie Front Drive
Christie Front Drive was an emo band from Denver, Colorado active between 1993 and 1997. The lineup consisted of Eric Richter (vocals and guitar), Jason Begin (guitar), Kerry McDonald (bass) and Ron Marschall (drums). Bands such as Superchunk, Jawbreaker, Jawbox, Buffalo Tom, and Drive Like Jehu were cited as influences. History The band released a self-titled EP and a 7-inch on Freewill Records in 1994. The two Freewill Records albums and several 7-inch were later combined and released as a self-titled full-length album (commonly referred to as ''Anthology''). In 1995, Christie Front Drive released split records with Jimmy Eat World, Sineater, and Boys Life. They also contributed to several compilation albums including ''(Don't Forget To) Breathe'' from Crank! Records. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Boys Life (band)
Boys Life was an American indie rock band from Kansas City, Missouri, formed in 1993. The band was foundational in the emo genre, especially influencing Taking Back Sunday. Band members went on to form other bands such as Canyon and Lullaby for the Working Class. Brandon Butler has also released several albums of solo material under his own name and formed the band Six Bells in 2014, who released their debut album in late 2015. In 2015, the band announced a brief reunion tour to coincide with the vinyl-only reissue of its second full-length album. Eric Richter
Eric Richter (born February 5, 1974) is an American musician and singer-songwriter from Denver, Colorado. He's best known for fronting the influential 90's emo band Christie Front Drive. He moved to New York City in 1996 and helped create the post-rock/electronica quintet Antarctica. After Antarctica's demise in 1999, he started the power trio The 101. After releasing two LPs and one EP, they disbanded in 2006. His next project, Golden City released a 7" single on Sound Fiction (Norway) on March 9, 2009 and a 10"/CD EP on Magic Bullet Records on April 7, 2009. His current band, Highness released their debut LP ''Hold'' on May 14, 2013.
